June 2004

Sunday the 13th of June, in the year of our Lord 2004, was the last service the Dittman's, the Kintzley's, and the Martinez's would attend at Grace Presbyterian Church,   Earl and Sue Dittman were a vertebra in the backbone of our church for too many years to count, the Kintzley's were been an example of what true church members are and do from the day they set foot in Grace, and Heidi Marteniz was been the live wire and motivation for countless youth activities - the key one, of course, being Vacation Bible School.

Following service today, Care Group #1 (spearheaded by Joyce and George Seitz) arranged a `Farewell Luncheon' for the departing soldiers.  Other contributors to the planning, food and work involved are too numerous to mention.   Let's just say it was a joyous send off to a new  adventure to our departing friends - but a sad day for the friends they leave behind.  This page is dedicated to sharing a few moments from that luncheon with those that could not attend - and reflecting back on a warm event for those that were there.

Earl & Sue fill their plates and share goodbyes with their friends while they reflect on retirement in their new custom built home in New Braunfels, TX.

Heidi and her husband Tony check out their farewell gift and think about their new life in Houston (with a big promotion for Tony from Coca Cola).

As an `extra', Heidi made a special request for a picture of her `tribe - heh' to be made with their best big buddy, Marlana Salmon.  OK Heidi, here it is!

Lt. Cmdr. Keith, Janna, and the rest of the Kintzley's are all smiles about their new US Navy assignment to Woodby Island off the coast of Washington State.  Got any room for tag-alongs Keith?

In addition to being just `Great GPC members', Keith even gave an outstanding Guest Speaker presentation at a recent Grace Presbyterian Men's dinner.

Wherever you go and whatever you do - the friends you made at Grace will never forget you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going to miss you all so much!!

GOD bless and GOD speed.
